Privacy Notice

We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of our client’s personal information. When you provide personal information, we believe that you should be aware of our policies to protect the confidentiality of that information.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT OR RECEIVE

In order to ensure we are able to offer and provide the most appropriate services and products, we may collect nonpublic personal information when you apply for insurance or file an insurance claim on behalf of your customer. 

Types of nonpublic personal information that may be collected include, but are not limited to, an individual’s name, telephone number, email address, address (mailing or physical), social security number, motor vehicle reports, credit reports, policy number, premium and/or premium payment history, medical history, loss history and prior insurance claim information.

The information we collect generally comes from Submissions, Quotes, Transactions, Claims or Consumer Reports and is used to determine the eligibility of your client for the insurance they are requesting and administering the insurance once it is obtained.

 

USE AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

The law permits us to share certain kinds of information with our affiliates, including identifying information and information about your transactions with us. We may also share other information with our affiliates, including information we receive from you on applications and other forms, and information we receive from consumer-reporting agencies.  We use and disclose the information listed above to administer, enforce, service and/or process insurance transactions, including claims.

Our employees, affiliated companies and third party service providers will have access to the information we collect about your client and your business as is necessary to effect an insurance transaction with you. We reserve the right to disclose all of the information that we collect, as described above, to any affiliates that we may have at the time and to the following types of third parties:

  • Financial service providers, such as insurance companies, agents and brokers;
  • An independent claim adjuster or investigator or an attorney or expert involved in a claim involving your insured;
  • Finance companies financing premiums;
  • A state insurance department or other governmental agency if required by federal, state or local laws;
  • Any persons entitled to received information as ordered by a summons, court order, search warrant or subpoena; or
  • A credit card processing company – this information is entered online and transmitted to the credit card processing company using SSL encryption. The credit card information is never retained in our records. The credit card processing company does not retain, share, store or use personal information for any other purposes beyond processing your transaction.

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to any unaffiliated third party for marketing purposes except as permitted by law.  

 

SECURITY

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you and your client to those employees or third party affiliates with a legitimate business need for the information. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard and protect your nonpublic personal information.

While we implement various safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access, no guaranty is or can be made that your information is secure from intrusions and/or unauthorized access by third parties.

  

OPTING OUT, CORRECTING AND UPDATING INFORMATION

If you prefer that we do not share this kind of information with our affiliates or third party vendors, you are working with a policyholder who has instructed you not to share such information or you need to correct or update the information provided, you can contact us by calling (800) 782-8699, or by mailing a letter to this effect to: P.O. Box 97024, Redmond, WA 98073-9724.

Please be aware that if you do opt out, we may not be able to provide certain services to you.

CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to revise the information found in the Privacy Policy at any time.
